so the last couple of weeks have been a little crazy, in a good way of course.
to start, i was scheduled to leave from salt lake to virginia on a monday but due to weather the flight was delayed until wednesday (just another reason why i really hate snow). however, this gave me a few days to play in utah with my sister and some friends.
elder cooper allen returned from his mission. my sister, nieces and i missed the grand reunion at the airport but there was much rejoicing in the land when we got home and he was there waiting for us. side note, my mother is hysterical. and so is cooper's reaction to eating a chipotle burrito for the first time.
the next few days were spent at home with friends, family, eating at some of my favorite places and then an afternoon spent at the beach and boardwalk.
there was a party in cooper's honor. lots of people. looots. but so good seeing such wonderful people showing their support for his accomplishment.
my sister, her girls and i flew back a week later. it was sad to say goodbye but knowing that i'll be back in august makes the next few months seem a little more manageable. i have such an incredible family and the most wonderful, supportive parents. i am thankful for all of them everyday and know i wouldn't be where i am without them.
